My Neighborhood In my community there reside some unsung heroes, I am talking about the Milwaukee police, policemen who voluntarily patrol my neighborhood. We have indeed had some annoying disturbances here, but frankly, those were not done by the folks I grew up with in this neighborhood, when there is a disturbance, and the police receive our call the men in blue respond, mostly they arrive in the nick of time, and restore order making things right keeping the peace. Yes, it is their job to do that, but quite frankly a job that comes with a capital D for danger, yet they take pride in doing the job that they must, it's just that, I know how dangerous their job can be, most time they put themselves in harm’s way to secure our safety and welfare. I believe those men and women who perform these services, are sometimes not recognized enough, So here is to the men and women, and all officers of the Milwaukee police force, thank you most generously and sincerely BRAVO! Kenvil Atkins Lewis / and family. We are most graciously thankful for your services. FROM: The Poet- KENVIL ATKINS LEWIS
EMBRACE THE OUTDOORS
THOSE WHO SERVES
In The Eyes of the Believer Greg in your eyes I see agape love, a vision that reflected in each of the twelve eyes, I feel privileged to have found the other sons and daughters of Almighty God, living right here in Wisconsin. It is said that patience is a virtue, more than that patience is a quality that comes from knowing Almighty God's will, and his will is for us to honour him, Honour thy Lord with your whole heart, your whole mind, and your whole soul, love one another. In my mind's eyes, I have imprinted your faces, your love, and your care, I will always take what you have given me to the extreme heights of gratitude, I am willing to do my part in the service of the Lord Almighty, to humble my self in the presence of the Lord. May the Lord which you all serve and the rest of your brethren bless you with abundant agape love, may you never want for anything but find the joy of plenty, I will not soon forget your inspiring togetherness on this ramp project. And in closing my brethren join me in prayers every night in your own little space, talking to Almighty God.
ALL THAT GLITTERS
IS NOT GOLD
WHAT WOULD YOU DO MILWAUKEE
Six months now I have waited for this company to fulfill its promise, oh yes this is a none profit organization, helping to Revitalize Milwaukee one home at a time. Revitalize is funded by individual and corporate grants, such as the Zilber Family Foundation, Bader Philanthropies, BMO Harris Bank, The Home Depot, Froedtert Medical College of Wisconsin, and Horner Plumbing. Recently, the nonprofit received a performance-based grant through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of up to nearly $10 million to be distributed over the next three years for its lead abatement program. In the words of the company CEO, you cannot fix everything for everybody but you can make it better, oh dear can you make this better, a promise broken is not making things better, however not all the king's men share that sentiment. I was promise iron railings for the stars, What do you think of this picture here? do you know what it is? Supposedly it is the foundation of a back step railing to my home. After several winters the wooden structure will start to disintegrate, not to mention the narrow space left for snow removal shoveling, that is if that was even taken into consideration, the space is much too small for a medium snow blower to pass through, granted when it snows, yes this being Wisconsin it will snow, clearing through and around the poles area will be like sifting flour through a strainer, now I ask you If you were me what would you do? I thought so, to me it’s the integrity that counts, what was promise was not delivered.. I was told that the company is not able to purchase seven feet of iron railings that they promise, the construction manager says no, and maliciously someone enter into the contract getting a ramp, whatever that means, and by the way what has that got to do with the work order to install railings on the steps, that would have been a portable ramp, is what i intended to use in transporting the wife at the back door, All good things comes to those who wait, and my patience will overcome any and all adversity to the completion of what must be done.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE
I couldn’t stop helping because no one else was responding to situations in the community, and the tragedy homeowners were living in,” she said. “It’s hard for me to see here in Milwaukee that the racism story hasn’t changed at all. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be African American or Hispanic in our community, to be honest with you, and the degree of frustration and lack of resources that are continually not available when they should be.”
LOOKS TO ME MORE LIKE A FIRE HAZARD
